Academic Citation Resource Guide
This guide is a great place to start if you're unsure about which citation style to use.
APA (American Psychological Association) style is most commonly used to cite sources within the social sciences.
Chicago Manual of Style is commonly used by those in literature, history, and the arts. Note: Please log in with your MICA username and password to access the entire Chicago Manual of Style
MLA Formatting and Style Guide
MLA (Modern Language Association) style is most commonly used to write papers and cite sources within the liberal arts and humanities.
Library Catalog search Animation
On the front page of the Decker Library catalog site, click "Advanced Search"
Search for "Film & Video," filter "Material type" to "Film & Videos" and search a term
The search results could be extensive so be sure to filter your results as you see fit
Once you click on a result, note that subject headings are linked and if you click on them you could find similar items in the catalog
Finding Kanopy streaming video
In order to access streaming videos from Kanopy, click "Advanced Search"
Filter your search to "Library Catalog," "Material type" as "All items" and search the term "Kanopy"
Your results should be all the Kanopy films that Decker Library has purchased licenses for. Click on a film and, under "View Online" click on the link to the film
This link should take you to the film on Kanopy where you can watch it
This library contains digital movies uploaded by Archive users which range from classic full-length films, to daily alternative news broadcasts, to cartoons and concerts. Many of these videos are available for free download.
Sign up to get an Enoch Pratt Free Library card here. Enoch Pratt provides access to more films on Kanopy through a play credit system. Users receive 10 credits per moth to watch any 10 films.
