Information Literacy Program at Decker Library

A toolkit for MICA's Information Literacy Program

When To Use

This activity is useful for classes where an annotated bibliography is being assigned. It can also be transitioned into general research and writing skills.

Tools Needed

It's helpful to show examples of other annotated bibliographies and break it down in a way that's easily digestible.

Time Needed

This introduction can be used as a lead-in to keyword generation and database/catalog searching as in this example, or to an activity where students read a brief essay and write an annotated bibliography in class time.

Introduction: ~10 minutes
