Basic Instruction Request Process A-Z

1. Faculty member requests instruction on the Teaching Support page and Calendly, our online appointment software, assigns the session to the appropriate Teaching Librarian.

2. Teaching Librarian reaches out to the Faculty member to confirm:

  • Date and time of instruction
  • Any related assignments
  • The course syllabus
  • Any Zoom or other online conferencing links
  • If the librarian gets push-back from students and/or faculty that the students have been to the library before, remind them that you don't learn how to do a figure drawing in one class, nor do you learn how to do research in one library session. It takes consistent practice and we're here to help with that!

3.Teaching Librarian completes the Instruction Completion Form after the class is held.
